how do I use the profiling stuff in rbx?
<
brixen>
diegoviola: the simplest is rbx -Xprofile script.rb

heh, so TIL Nokogiri's CSS support is actually incomplete/incorrect in some cases (by the looks of it)
<
yorickpeterse>
e.g. :nth-of-type(n) should select all nodes, except Nokogiri translates that to //*[position() = n]
<
yorickpeterse>
and since there's no "n", unless Nokogiri secretly defines that, it shouldn't return anything
<
yorickpeterse>
yup, empty result

hopefully will have rubini.us serving over https by monday
<
brixen>
working on a brew install for rbx but it's actually not a great solution
<
yorickpeterse>
How come?
<
brixen>
because to install "correctly" it would clobber eg MRI
<
brixen>
so, it will probably be keg only
<
brixen>
with an explicit link required
<
brixen>
trying to see if I can trojan chruby support
<
brixen>
basically just cp to ~/.rubies :)
<
brixen>
yorickpeterse: you get your email?
<
brixen>
basically, what I want to do is fork ruby-install to mkruby and just add binary support by default
<
brixen>
but not use RVM's crazy ass mapping crap
<
brixen>
just bundle config.guess and name the files appropriately
JohnBat26 has joined #rubinius
<
yorickpeterse>
Why not add that to ruby-install itself?
<
yorickpeterse>
I believe they were planning on adding that anyway
<
yorickpeterse>
and yes, I got the Email :)
<
yorickpeterse>
Hm, do I implement more CSS selectors or spend the evening writing a not-so-garbage specification...hmmm

yorickpeterse: well, they have some work on a binary install but nothing in mainline yet, afaik
<
brixen>
and they were planning to support RVM directory nonsense
<
brixen>
which sucks
<
brixen>
I've been waiting a year for binary install support
<
brixen>
there's no reason all these users keep having to install source builds
<
brixen>
it's just plain stupid
<
brixen>
and I'm losing tolerance for it
<
brixen>
alas, I need to get some food

what llvm string is the build looking for?
<
yorickpeterse>
llvm string?
<
kagaro>
im trying to build 2.3 on my mavericks box .. no dice says cant figure out llvm versio .. clang reports it as 3.4
<
kagaro>
but llvm-config say 2.9svn for some reason
<
yorickpeterse>
I think you have to brew install llvm to get the proper version, I think headius had similar problems
<
kagaro>
well crap that sucks
<
kagaro>
well no that didnt do it
<
headius>
kagaro: there's another step... brew link --force llvm
<
headius>
I think that was it
<
headius>
it built for mea fter that
<
yorickpeterse>
kagaro: looks like we just scan the --version output for the right number
